The Governor’s emergency COVID orders have been ruled unconstitutional.  The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is now promulgating similar rules.

A new rule affecting restaurants takes place tomorrow (Monday, November 2).  It states “All dine-in food service establishments must maintain accurate records of the names and phone numbers of patrons who purchase food for consumption on the premises, and the date and time of entry.”

Other rules are extensive and complicated.  If you would like to read them, please click here.

In a recent Facebook post, the Beach Bar announced it was closing with no reopening date specified.  The post said:

“Due to the unfortunate restrictions put on us by our government, it makes it impossible to be profitable in these trying times.  Therefore, our last day open will be Sunday, November 1st.”  The message went on to thank everyone for their support, and added “We look forward to seeing you all soon.”
