Keeping with the Clark Lake tradition, the Memorial Day Parade will take place at 8:30 am Monday.  The parade assembles at the schoolhouse on North Lake Road.  It proceeds south on Hyde Road and turns around at the Township Park and heads north.  Do you want to join?  Read on.

The parade pauses at the cemetery for prayer and the playing of taps, including the echo heard from the back of the cemetery.

The parade resumes and concludes in front of the Clarklake Community Church for the playing of the National Anthem.

The Clark Lake Lions organize the parade.  Considering participating in Clark Lake’s biggest little parade?  Walt Reed says “Any one that wants to be in the Clarklake Lions Memorial Day Parade only has to show up at the school parking lot on North Lake road before 8 am.  Children under twelve who march in the parade will be given a $2 bill for their participation.  Again, they need to show up at the parking lot so we can slot folks into their proper space. Cars to the rear. Horses behind all people for obvious reasons.”
