As if to confirm that the new season really is unfolding, the Clark Lake Yacht Club has unveiled a couple events you’ll want to know about. One of them takes place when summer is becoming a memory but we’re still holding on to the last bit of it. The Clark Lake Yacht Club is holding its Fall Regatta on Saturday and Sunday, September 19 & 20. The Fleet 58 Reunion and Regatta reawakened Clark Lake’s enthusiasm for Hobies. Given the renewed interest, the Club is once again inviting Hobies to be part of it.
At least three boats are required to constitute a fleet. The other class boats will include Rebels, Interlakes, Sunfish, Wayfarers, Buccaneers, and Lasers. For more information on this annual event, click here.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sail, the Yacht Club can help answer that question, too, and even show you how to do it. Once again, they are offering the Learn to Sail Program and have moved it to July 11, 18 and 25 from 9 am to 1 pm. This well thought out curriculum is a perfect launch to a sailing career on Clark Lake, and you can read more about it by clicking here.
