Eagle Point Road

Today is flag day–the flag had to be moved because of its location close to the fallen branch.

Another day of rain arrived, drenching Clark Lake.

This morning, a soggy old oak tree let go of some branches that fell to the ground, landing on Eagle Point Road, blocking traffic.  A call to 911 brought the Columbia Township police and fire department in just a few minutes.  Fire department personnel used a chain saw to enable the moving of the branches, while the police cruiser served to warn those heading toward the point of the hazard.

In a short time, the road was once again open.

Below is a video of the Columbia Township Fire Department working to remove the debris.
