The Polar Plunge returns to Clark Lake on Saturday, January 29, 2022, and will be held at the Eagle’s Nest.  The Plunge check-in and pre-plunge party begins at 12:30 pm.  The action commences at 2 pm when many will do the unthinkable–jump into Clark Lake’s frigid waters.  In the past, crews have had to break up the ice around the gas dock and keep moving the waters to prevent refreezing.

Crazy?  Blair Huff, Eagle’s Nest owner, says “crazy is good when it comes to supporting an event like this.  The Eagle’s Nest is happy to play a role in this fundraiser presented by the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan.”  The Plunge’s goal is $35,000.  At the time of publishing this article, $911 had been committed.  They’re website comment? “We’re freezin’ for a reason.”

So what is it really like?  This video will take you back to the Polar Plunge in 2019 (2021 event was omitted due to you know what).
