If anyone was unconvinced that winter is here, he or she missed the cold blasts of the last couple weeks.  Evidence is plentiful.  Ice on the lake, northwest winds, and snow everywhere.  That’s what faces participants of the Polar Plunge Saturday at Clark Lake.

Registration begins at 8:30 am Saturday, January 26. Activities commence with the parade of costumes at 10 am, and the plunge starts at 10:15 am. The Awards and After Splash Bash will begin immediately following the last plunger at the Pointe Bar and Grill.

The event attracts plungers from all over the area, and of course, some of Clark Lake’s own.

As of today (Thursday), over $19,000 has been pledged as $32,000 is targeted.  The Plunge is sponsored by Michigan Law Enforcement and benefits Special Olympics. The Plunge at Clark Lake is one of 30 scheduled around the state.  Learn more by clicking here.
