As anyone who has attempted to photograph an eagle knows, it’s not easy.  Eagles are somewhat rare and don’t appear in front of you on any sort of schedule.  If and when you do spot an eagle, they usually refuse to pose.  That means you have to be ready with camera in hand when one does appear.  Today (Wednesday 3/2 1:35 pm) at Clark Lake, Carl Noechel caught an eagle in action.  He happened to have an iPad in his hand as he was standing along the Pleasant View shoreline looking toward Eagle Point.  Two versions are below–one that is blown up; the other is the original.
