This event is designed for fun, but it’s also an important fund raiser that supports the Clark Lake Spirit Trail, a 7.3 mile path that allows cyclists, runners and walkers to circle the lake. The Trail is primarily maintained by volunteers. But there are times, when outside help is needed. A recent example is tree trimming along the Jefferson Road section. Other improvements in the last few years have required financial outlay. They include the rebuilding the section adjacent to the U.S. Post Office on Hyde Road and creating a new section along North Lake Road between Grand Boulevard and Rita Drives.
