Kayak Races and Kids Triathlon combine for Super Sunday fun, July 31st. The events start with Kayak races for kids and adults. The race course begins at the Yacht Club dock, heads toward Eagle Point, rounds a buoy and returns to the Yacht Club. Below a look at last year’s competition.
Registration opens at 9:30 am on the Yacht Club grounds and the kayaks compete starting at 10 am. The Kids Triathlon follows for those 12 and under–the events are swimming, running and biking.
Kids who want to compete should arrive with their “own bikes, helmets and life jackets,” says Dan Omo, an organizer. There will be awards and hot dogs for the kids!
The event is sponsored by the Raft-O-Rama Committee and the Clark Lake Yacht Club.
