It may have rained Thursday morning, but that didn’t slow down a Jackson Department of Transportation crew at Clark Lake.  The potholes must go, according to Edward and Micky who doused the holes and crevices with what’s called hot patch.  A truck, full of steaming filler, traveled the roads and stopped where they spotted a need. The process is two step–blow out the hole with a leaf blower and then apply the hot patch.

At the time of the photo, the crew was working on Lakeview West, near Eagle Point Road.

When more mix is available, more patching is expected.  If you notice an area that needs repair, you can contact the Jackson County Department of Transportation at (517) 788-4230 or JCDOT@mijackson.org
