Fire inflicted significant damage to a Clark Lake home on Rita Drive today. Columbia and Liberty Township crews received the call just before noon and arrived at the Liogghio residence to find a fire consuming a large section of the roof. The fire apparently ignited in the chimney of a wood burner. Firefighters, equipped with a tanker, dispensed the flames with water. No injuries reported.
The house is adjacent to the County Park and the Clark Lake Community Center. The fire did not spread.
