Saturday, January 29 will be busy at Clark Lake.  Not only is the Polar Plunge scheduled for 2 pm at Eagle Point, but the day will start with a fishing tournament.  The Fallen Outdoors group serves veterans, and it is they who will be center stage in the competition.  Organizer Ron Smith says 2022 marks year two of this annual event.  Last year, 25 veterans participated.  This year he expects 40.

Competitors will assemble at the Clark Lake Yacht Club.  When the contest concludes at 1:30 pm, fishermen will return for awards in these categories—biggest, smallest, and most.  Top prize is a $340 fishing jacket for the biggest fish.  Following that will be an event you don’t often find at fishing tournaments.  Ron Smith is also a minister, and will marry a couple in front of the group.  Then a feast is planned.
