Contributions rolled in to the tune of over $1800 at today’s event.  Thin Blue Line is a fund raiser for the Columbia Township Police “Shop with a Cop” program. One-hundred percent of the funds will benefit needy children at Christmas.

Chief Elwell and Sgt Niles

Columbia Township Police Chief David Elwell and Sergeant Jay Niles were on hand to tell the Shop with a Crop story. It was also an opportunity for visitors to the Clark Lake Community Center to talk with local law enforcement, view their vehicles, and purchase Thin Blue Line items. 

Mike Hirst and John Karkheck

Mike Hirst was there to explain the work of the Andy’s Angels program.  The goal of the program is to fight opioid addiction with action steps.  Read more by clicking here.

John Karkheck organized the event and comments “at a time when police have taken hits in some communities, Clark Lake is standing up in support of its own.”
