rain-2016-10-01It was not actually a 40 day and 40 night event–it just seemed like it.  After a dry summer, the recent soaking was certainly a change.  In September, the rain gauge record 3.75 inches of rain, mostly at the end of the month.  And today, October 1st, about one-fourth inch started the new month.

There were breaks in the rain today, and some boats ventured out, including this Hobie.

dsc_1284_1028Once dark, there was a bit more rain.  But the sun peered through long enough for this view of it as the geese took to the air and headed south.
