Like many close-contact events, Raft-O-Rama has been postponed until 2021.  Some Clark Lakers didn’t want the summer to pass by without a romp around the lake.  Boat Splash is the their answer.  They are urging their neighbors to take a cruise around the lake this Saturday (Aug 1).  Starting at Eagle Point at 3 pm, they plan to circle the lake counter-clockwise.

Eagle Point Marina is joining in.  Blair Huff says Lucero’s tacos & nachos will be on hand from noon to 6 pm. And “we are going to have Ian Stewart play live music from 2 pm to 4 pm in the pavilion area behind the party store.”  According to his website, Ian Stewart is an “R&B Singer songwriter & Guitarist, a world traveled performer who’s paid his dues and has been ‘Spreading The Blues’ for the past two decades.”  To learn more about Ian Stewart and to sample his music, click here for his website.

Boat Splash is informal.   Decorating rafts is up to those on the cruise, the theme being “Anything Goes.”  The inspiration?  Don’t let the summer end without Clark Lake fun with neighbors–and the good times that go with it.

This activity is not an official event.  It’s not the work of any committee, but developed by word of mouth, one neighbor to another. It’s not affiliated with Raft-O-Rama, Clark Lake Spirit Foundation or other organizations that are part of it.
