Evidence suggests Clark Lake’s Big Melt is underway.  Recent warm temperatures, intermittent rain, and wind have led to the current state.  As you can see in the slide show, large sections of the north shore, east of Eagle Point are open.  Eagle Point itself is surrounded by open water.  Ice over the west end is displaying the swiss cheese look.  A thin layer of ice formed long shorelines overnight in areas previously open, as temperatures dipped into the 20s.  They are quickly reopening thanks to 44 degrees and plenty of sunshine.
